Newly Ordained

Dear Parishioners,

This Saturday, May 20, 7 men will be ordained to the priesthood by Archbishop Perez for the Church of Philadelphia. We as a Church give thanks to God for these men and the gift of their priesthood. I ask that you pray for our new priests that God will give them the grace and strength to be good and holy priests.

I ask that you pray for all priests, for us here at Saints Peter and Paul, and for the priests throughout our Archdiocese and the world. We rely on your prayers. We are grateful for the gift of the priesthood and hope to be good priests as we minister in the name of Jesus.

During this month of ordinations and ordination anniversaries, we thank and praise God for the gift of the priesthood in our Church and ask that He continue to call and give the grace to respond to many more good and holy priests to serve His people.

Prayer For Priests

Ever-living God and Father to us all,
You give to Your Church the Priesthood of Your Son, Jesus
and by the power of the Holy Spirit,
You provide holy priests for a holy people.

We pray for all our priests,
who announce the Word of God
and celebrate the Sacraments,
for those who are young and those who are old,
for those who serve in difficult and trying circumstances,
for those who are faithful and those who are faltering,
and for those who have died.

We entrust all our priests to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
and to the Immaculate Heart of Mary,
that they persevere with fidelity
to You and Your Church.

With Saint John Vianney, patron of priests,
we pray that our priests may never fail to lead us to You.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.
