Men and women selected by the Pastor & commissioned by the Archdiocese can assist in distributing Communion at Mass and bringing Communion to the sick and to homebound parishioners.
Parishioners can server as lectors to proclaim the Sacred Scriptures (Old Testament and New Testament readings) and read the intercessions in the absence of a Deacon. Lectors proclaim the Word of God to allow the Word to penetrate their minds and hearts. Training is provided.
Parish boys & girls who have completed the fourth grade can assist the priest in celebrating the Mass. Adult servers are also needed to assist with various parish celebrations including funerals and certain Masses.
At all Masses, ushers assist with seating of parishioners, taking up the collections, the Communion procession, and distribution of bulletins. Our ushers are "ambassadors of hospitality."
Joyfully greet each person coming to Mass. Be a welcoming presence as people enter Church by greeting them at the door with a friendly "Hello!"
