On November 1 and 2, we celebrate two special days. Tuesday, we celebrate the Solemnity of All Saints and Wednesday, we celebrate the Feast of all Souls.
On the Solemnity of All Saints, November 1, we remember those who are models to all of us living, and the faith we profess. The saints lived on Earth and fought for the good fight and won the race. After proving their goodness and giving witness to the presence of God on Earth, they now enjoy their reward in Heaven.
The saints continue to assist us as they intercede for us before the throne of God. We look to their example and count on their prayers to assist us along our journey. We ask for the intercession of our local Saint John Neumann and Saint Katherine Drexel.
Our prayers for the Holy Souls are offered in thanksgiving to God for having allowed them to touch our lives with their love and goodness. We pray that God will forgive their sins and grant them a special reward for their labors among us, and count them among His saints.
God bless us all!
