Dear Parishioners,
Please see the Archbishop’s letter below. Know how very grateful for your constant generosity to our parish and the various charities we assist each year. At times, I am overwhelmed by the goodness and generosity of you, the people of Saints Peter and Paul Parish.
I do ask that if you have not donated to the Catholic Charities Appeal that you consider a donation you can afford, to this very important collection. Brochures and envelopes can be found in the Narthex.
God bless us all!
Fr. Citino
Dear Msgr. Citino,
We’ve entered the second half of the 2023 Catholic Charities Appeal (CCA) year. With God’s grace through the generosity of so many in our local Church, we hope to meet our goal of raising $12.5 million. These funds will allow us to bring to hundreds of thousands in need throughout the region.
This year, donations to the CCA have been significantly impacted due to rising costs and surging economic inflation. Each day, Catholic Charities Appeal beneficiaries work tirelessly to provide emergency shelter for the homeless, counsel and support for individuals struggling with addiction, food, and nutrition assistance for hungry families, job training, employment support, and much more.
To sate, Saints Peter and Paul Parish has raised 85% of its goal of $82,401.00 for the 2023 Catholic Charities Appeal. I’m deeply grateful for this generous support from your parishioners. Reaching parish goals is more vital than ever now. As a former pastor, I know you receive a multitude of worthy fundraising requests, but this one is critical, and I ask that you do what is possible to reinforce that message in your parish. Every gift matters and helps to ensure that our charitable ministries can continue to serve all who count on them. Your help is needed to ensure that essential ministries of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia can continue to serve our community.
Together, one family in Christ, we can make a difference in the lives of those in need. Please be assured of my ongoing thanks for your priestly service and your care for all those who rely on you, as well as a remembrance in my prayers.
Fraternally your in Christ,
+Nelson J. Perez
