This coming week, January 31 to February 5, we celebrate Catholic Schools Week. The theme this year is:
Faith, Excellence, Service.
As I write this letter, I do so with pride and gratitude. I am proud of the long tradition of excellence our school has been known for. I am grateful to God for the blessings received in and through our school and for the many people who have made Saints Peter and Paul School all that it has been.
Christ is the reason for our Catholic schools. Over the years, our school has assisted many parents in the faith formation of their children. Our faculty has helped the children to establish a personal relationship with God, and prepared them for the sacraments. Our faith is our strength for the journey, and I am happy that our school has walked with so many on their journey.
Academically, Saints Peter and Paul has always excelled. We are proud of the accomplishments of so many of our former and present students. Many have distinguished themselves in jobs and careers because of the academic education they received here at Saints Peter and Paul.
Our students are given the opportunity to understand what it means to share themselves and their talents through service projects in which they participate. Sharing with others and contributing to the good of society is a big part of who we are as Christians and Catholics.
I offer a special thanks to our Principal, Mrs. Veronica Chandler, our faculty, staff, school nurses, maintenance crew and parents for all they are doing this year to keep our students safe and healthy while in school during this Pandemic. They are true heroes who deserve our respect and gratitude.
To all who have been and who are Saints Peter and Paul School Community, I say Thank You. To all who support the mission of our school, I am grateful.
Let us thank God for our school, put our support behind it, and not take a good thing for granted.
