Labor Day

With Labor Day upon us, let us take time to thank God for the gift of Work.
 
Lord God, we thank you for the gifts and Talents you have given us to use at the particular time and place and among the people you call us. May you bless our work. May we do everything we do with the humble hearts for the benefit of others and ourselves and for the sake of giving YOU glory.
 
Help us in our work no matter how significant or insignificant it may seem to us or the world. It is your works we perform. We know that without you nothing is possible, with you all things are possible.
 
As we pray at the preparation of the gifts at Mass: ’With humble spirit and contrite heart, may we be acceptable to you, O Lord. May our sacrifice in your sight this day, be pleasing to you, Lord God.”
