Dear Parishioners,
On Monday, we celebrate Memorial Day. For some people, it is just the official start of Summer. But it is more than that. Memorial Day is a day to thank God for all those through the years who have served our country in the Armed Services. We especially remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice, giving their lives for us, and all the freedoms and privileges we enjoy as Americans.
Let us take time on Memorial Day to thank God for our blessings. Let us remember all those people who were a blessing to our nation and to all of us. They deserve our gratitude, our honor and our respect.
Let us also pray for those who are presently serving our nation and for Peace throughout the world.
God bless us all!

Prayer for Our Troops
Dear God,
Give them strength to endure,
the loneliness of war,
the strangeness of a land,
they never saw before.
Give them courage to follow,
the strength to lead,
in wartime, in peace,
and all times of need.
Give them courage to stand up
for what they believe,
and not bend to the will
of those who deceive.
Give them strength to survive,
and the will to live,
and in time, when it’s over
the strength to forgive.
God, keep them safe and bring them back home.
But for now, let them know, they are
NOT ALONE.
