Dear Parishioners,
Sunday, we celebrate the Feast of Pentecost. On this day, we celebrate the completion of the Paschal Mystery. Jesus’ Suffering, Death, Resurrection, Ascension, and finally, the fulfillment of the promise of the coming of the Paraclete, the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Blessed Trinity. We know the Father as Creator, the Son, as the Redeemer, and the Holy Spirit as the Sanctifier. God’s Holy Spirit dwells within us as protector and guide and bestows the gift of holiness on each and all of us.
We rejoice and celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit. It is a moment of grace for all of us to recognize the Holy Spirit within us and among us. We are given this day, the opportunity to open ourselves to the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, to sanctify those around us by our words and actions, thereby renewing the face of the Earth.
God bless us all!

Prayer to The Holy Spirit
Breathe in me, O Holy Spirit,
that my thoughts may all be holy.
Act in me, O Holy Spirit,
that work, too, may be holy.
Draw my heart, O Holy Spirit,
that I love but what is holy.
Strengthen me, O Holy Spirit,
to defend all that is holy.
Guard me, then, O
Holy Spirit,
that I always may be holy.
Amen.
“Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of the faithful and renew the face of the Earth.”
