As we approach the celebration of “Thanksgiving”, I would like to offer this spiritual preparation to make the holiday more meaningful. After all, we celebrate what we live.
In the next week or so, intentionally call to mind what you are thankful for when you get up in the morning, before you go to sleep at night, during a quiet time during the day, or before the Blessed Sacrament in Church.
You might thank God for things such as: life, health, a new day, your family and friends who love you. It may be for blessings and good things received or strength in time of sickness, suffering, or grief and those who are with you in those times to support you. Thank God for you faith, which is our strength for the journey.
Whatever it may be, intentionally say thank you to God each day as you prepare to celebrate Thanksgiving. It will give special meaning to your personal celebration of the day because you will have lived what you celebrate.
On Thanksgiving morning, Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 AM only. Please join us with your family.
God bless us all!

Our Thanksgiving Prayer
Good and gracious God, we come before You today
united with all who give You thanks and praise.
Fill us with gratitude for Your many blessings
both physical and spiritual.
We thank You in particular this day for the gifts
of food and family. Bless our family,
especially those who can’t be with us today.
Also, today, we remember those of our family
who have gone to be with You.
Grant us Your spiritual blessings and help us
pray daily for the grace to serve You
in response to Your bountiful gifts to us.
Bless all who serve You throughout the World.
We pray this in the name of Jesus, Your Son, Our Lord
who gives all things freely according to our needs.
Continue to bless us and give us Your peace.
Amen.
