The Month of Mary

Dear Parishioners,

Next week we begin the beautiful month of May. For us as Catholics, May is the month dedicated to Our Blessed Mother. When we think of May, our attention automatically turns to Mary.

During the month of May, we offer special devotion to Mary, the mother of Jesus and our mother. Mary, through her acceptance of God’s call to be the mother of His Son Jesus, gave us our salvation. We honor her for her special role in God’s plan for the salvation of the world.

We honor Mary because God honored her first. When we honor Mary, we honor God who chose her among all women of all times to be the mother of His Son, our Savior, Jesus.

Here at Saints Peter and Paul, we will offer special devotions to Mary on Monday, May 6 at 7:00 PM in Church with our Parish May Procession. We invite everyone in the parish to join us for this beautiful display of faith and devotion as we honor Mary and praise our God.

O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to you.
