A disciple of Christ follows in His footsteps. From the day of your Baptism, you are called to be a Missionary. While you may not travel to another country to do so, the Holy Spirit can move you to go beyond your daily concerns, offering your prayers and gifts—so that others may come to know and to believe in Jesus Christ. Mission Dioceses are supported in prayer and sacrificial giving by Three Pontifical Mission Societies:
The Society of the Propagation of the Faith
The Missionary Childhood Association
The St. Peter Apostle Society
Pope Francis reminds us that, “The word of Christ is intended to reach out to everyone, in particular, those who live in the peripheries of existence, so that they might find Him, the center of their life, and the source of hope.” He continually asks for emphasis to be placed on Jesus’ greatest commandment “ Go forth and make Disciples of all nations….” Matthew 28:19
May we do our part to support the mission around the world. The second collection will be taken up this weekend, October 23 for the World Missions.
God bless us all!

Missionary Disciple Prayer
Good and Gracious God, Your Son, Jesus Christ, invites all people
to follow Him and become His Disciples.
Touch our hearts.
Enlighten our minds and stir our spirit.
Help us daily to take up our Cross and follow Him; by living His Word
and proclaiming His Good News to those around us.
May our faith in you increase, may our hunger for the Gospel intensify,
