Reading Olympics

The goal of Reading Olympics is to increase the quality and quantity of books students read for enjoyment. The Olympics are primarily a celebration of reading rather than a contest. All participants are awarded ribbons. Since the teams generate much excitement about this reading event, the experience is rewarding for everyone involved.

For the 2017-2018 academic year, Mrs. Chandler and Mrs. Mollure are the coordinators for Grades 4 & 5. Their teams will meet from 12:00-12:50 on the following dates (more frequent meetings will occur in April and May): November 14, Dec 12, Jan 16, Feb 13, March 13.

Mrs. DiProspero is the parent coordinator for the Grades 6 ,7 & 8 teams. Her reading teams meet during school or after school at least once per month.

The Reading Olympics competitions are being held on May 24, 2018 (Grades 4,5) and TBD for middle school team.
